Southern African Journal of Environmental Education – TESF Special Issue

This Special Issue on Transforming Education for Sustainable Futures (TESF) – with its emphasis on views from the global South has been in process for many years and has taken a considerable amount of time to develop and complete. It started with the UKRI-GCRF funded TESF network, consisting of partnerships between the University of Bristol, and three sub-regional hubs in South Africa, Rwanda, Somalia/Somaliland and one in India. Researchers in the 67 TESF projects all adopted a knowledge production approach to exploring what it means to transform education for sustainable futures. Authors for the special issue were invited to share new knowledge and insights that can assist education policy makers, practitioners, non-governmental and community based organisations to implement policies and practices in education that are transformative and can contribute to ensuring equitable, just and environmentally sustainable development.
